It's been a rainy week here in Charm City, but the Storm Clouds should lift this weekend. Enjoy the last few rays of summer with these cool events around Baltimore.
This hasn’t been the greatest season for the Birds, however the Ravens are out of town, tickets are cheap, the World Champion Houston Astros are in town, and there are three awesome giveaways this weekend.
Friday September 28th - Orioles Coaster Set - First 20,000 fans 15 and Older
For fans 21 and Over, Friday also marks O’stoberfest, a pre-game party package. The $75 ticket gets you a seat in the left field lower box, and a 22. Oz Limited Edition Orioles Beer Stein.

What: If traveling out to Columbia isn’t your speed, there is another Brew Fest hosted by the Friends of Patterson Park, featuring over 40+ local beers, food, family friendly activities, and Musical Acts Charm City Junction and Cara Kelly and the Tell Tale. Tickets range between $15 and $65, and kids 16 and Under get in for free!

What: Nothing signals the start of Autumn in the "City that Reads" like the Baltimore Book Festival. Hundreds of authors and booksellers, Thousands of books, and a wide array of activities from workshops, to panel discussions, to live music and children's entertainment.

Where: MICA – Brown Center, 1301 West Mount Royal Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217
What: This annual event features a wide variety of Japanese Food, Film, Music, and Art, to “provide a platform for Japanese artists and cultural-experts to expand American audiences' perceptions of Japan.” There is a guest lecture from illustrator Yasuke Nakamura, a short film festival featuring Japanese and Japanese American directors, and an all ages festival called Aki Matsuri at the YNot Lot (North Ave, Charles Street).

What: Indie rock gods The National return to Maryland fresh off a Grammy win for their album Sleep Well Beast. They’re joined by Cat Power, who is stepping back in the limelight with her first album in five years, Wanderer. This all ages show’s tickets range between $46 and $75.
